Electrification opportunities are expanding rapidly in quantity, quality, and affordability. For example, modern heat pumps are often rated above 300% efficient and some are able to heat homes at -20 degrees F or colder. Electric vehicles are now available in virtually any body type — and some can now go more than 400 miles on a single charge.

Electric vehicles and heat pumps are the two most often cited ways to beneficially electrify, but they just scratch the surface of what is possible. We will explore an array of opportunities in Section 2 that will enable your utility to fully understand the opportunity of beneficial electrification.
